Our vines gently slope down towards the Garonne and are seperated from the river by the Bordeaux-Toulouse railway line.
Our terroir is closely linked to the history of the Garonne river, and modifications of the river bed over the centuries.
A pedological study has revealed that certain plots of Château Sirio vines are situated on what was probably a small island of the Garonne in pre-historic times.
This helps to keep the soil cool during summer heat waves.
